Reliance Infrastructure shares drop 8% after Q3 loss widens to Rs 3,298 crore

Reliance Infrastructure shares fell nearly 8% to Rs 230.7 in Monday's trade on the BSE after the company reported a widened consolidated net loss of Rs 3,298.35 crore for Q3 FY25, compared to a net loss of Rs 421.17 crore in the same period last year.

Its revenue from operations stood at Rs 4,743 in Q3 FY25, up 0.55% YoY from Rs 4 Rs 717.09 crore in Q3 FY24.


The company’s revenue from the power and infrastructure businesses fell 1.3% and 13.01% YoY to Rs 4,275.20 crore and Rs 414.07 crore in Q3 FY25, respectively. Meanwhile, the revenue from its engineering and construction business grew 5.94% YoY to Rs 53.73 crore from Rs 50.72 crore.

Its expenses declined to Rs 4,963.23 crore in Q3 FY25, falling 2.08% YoY from Rs 5,068.71 crore in the third quarter of FY24.


Reliance Infrastructure is engaged in the business of providing engineering and construction services for power, roads, metro rail, and other infrastructure sectors.

Reliance Infrastructure technical indicators


Technically, the stock's relative strength index (RSI) is at 41.5. According to Trendlyne, an RSI below 30 is considered oversold, while above 70 indicates overbought conditions. Additionally, the MACD is at -5.7, which is below its Signal and center line, this is a strong bearish indicator.

The stock is trading below its 5-day, 10-day, 20-day, 30-day, 50-day, 100-day, 150-day, and 200-day simple moving averages (SMAs).

Reliance Infrastructure shares performance


The stock has declined 25% year-to-date but gained 86% in the last two years. The company’s market capitalization stands at Rs 9,463 crore.
