L&T shares rise 3% after board approves Rs 12,000 crore debt-based fundraising plan

The board approved long-term borrowings via external commercial borrowings, term loans, non-convertible debentures, or other suitable instruments. In another development, L&T appointed Subramanian Sarma, Whole-Time Director and President (Energy), as Deputy Managing Director and President, effective April 2, until February 2028. KEC International shares in focus after securing new orders worth Rs 1,267 crore

It has also secured Notification of Awards (NOAs) and a comfort letter for transmission and distribution (T&D) projects, including 800 kV HVDC and 765 kV transmission line orders from Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) and the supply of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas. The Rekha Jhunjhunwala-backed firm posted a net profit of Rs 193.2 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024, down from Rs 220.7 crore a year earlier, according to a regulatory filing. Revenue from operations rose marginally by 1.6% to Rs 5,344.5 crore in the December quarter, from Rs 5,260 crore in the same period last year. Tata Motors shares fall 2% as October sales remain flat YoY

The company reported total sales of 82,682 units in October 2024, nearly unchanged from the 82,954 units sold in October 2023. The commercial vehicle (CV) sales were reported at 34,259 units while the passenger vehicle (PV) sales of 48,423 units were reported by the company, both showing no year-on-year growth. While the domestic sales performance remained steady, the commercial vehicles showed mixed results, with HCV trucks down by 2% and passenger carriers up 13%. The ILMCV segment grew 9%, but SCV cargo and pickup saw a decline of 3%, and CV IB fell by 15%.
