Hudco raises $448 million in Yen debt in a rare transaction for state-owned firm

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp (SMBC) and Mizuho Bank, three of the largest banking groups in Japan by assets, have come together to finance a rare loan for Hudco, people familiar with the development said. Hudco builds mass housing projects in metro cities and finances construction projects. "The five-year loan was priced at 70 basis points above the Tokyo Overnight Average Rate (TONAR), the interbank benchmark rate in, Japan. Adani Total Gas shares surge 7% on securing largest global financing of $375 million

[hfe_template id='11223'] [ad_1] Shares of Adani Total Gas (ATGL) jumped 7.4% on BSE to its day’s high of Rs 846.65 after the company announced that it has secured a $375 million global financing, the largest ever amount in the city gas distribution business. “The maiden financing of USD 375 million executed with international lenders include an initial commitment of USD 315 million with accordion feature to enhance the commitments. Five international lenders participated in the initial financing which includes BNP Paribas, DBS Bank, Mizuho Bank, MUFG Bank, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation,” said the company in the exchange filing. The announcement was made on Friday after the market hours. The financing will accelerate ATGL’s City Gas Distribution (CGD) network infrastructure development program and the expansion is expected to cater to over 200 million people covering 14% of India’s population.
