Promoters of Bajaj Finserv likely sold equity worth Rs 5,506 crore on Friday in a large block deal. Around 2.86 crore shares reportedly changed hands at Rs 1,925 apiece. According to earlier reports, Bajaj Holdings & Investment and Jamnalal Sons Pvt were expected to offload a 1.6% stake in the company through a transaction valued at Rs 4,750 crore ($554 million). However, the identities of the buyers and sellers involved in the deal have not been officially disclosed. Previous reports also indicated that the promoters were exploring an option to upsize the transaction by an additional Rs 1,078 crore ($126 million), involving the sale of another 5.7 million shares, or 0.36% equity.
