Pharma stocks slip up to 3% as uncertainties loom around Trump tariffs

[hfe_template id='11223'] [ad_1] Indian pharmaceutical stocks fell up to 3% on the BSE on Thursday amid fears of tariffs by US President Donald Trump, with a fresh setback from the announcements in the auto sector having a rub-off impact. Shares of Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals fell 2% to their day’s low of Rs 1,132.75 while those of Ipca Laboratories went down by 2.7% to Rs 1,403.95. Sun Pharmaceuticals and Dr Reddy’s Laboratories shares tumbled 1.7% each and Ajanta Pharma shares slid by 2.5%. Meanwhile, the shares of Zydus Lifesciences, Alkem Laboratories, Lupin, and Natco Pharma were trading lower between 1% and 1.5% around 10:20 am. IPO Analysis: Emcure Pharma has better-listed pharma alternatives

The Pune-based company is rolling out a ₹1,952 crore initial public offering comprising a fresh issue of ₹800 crore and an offer of sale (OFS) of ₹1,152 crore. The IPO represents 10.2% of the post-paid-up capital of the company. The proceeds of the issue are going to be used to repay debt to the tune of ₹600 crore. Among the promoters selling in the OFS, the chief executive Satish Mehta is selling 420,000 shares amounting to ₹42.3 crore at the upper price band, while executive director Namita Thapar is selling 1,268,600 shares amounting to ₹127.8 crore.
