Indian stocks traded lower on Thursday, with the Sensex and Nifty extending losses to a fourth consecutive session as uncertainty over a potential U.S.-India trade agreement continued to weigh on investor risk appetite. The cautious tone can likely be offset by support from a rebound in the rupee and signs of renewed foreign investor buying. The S&P BSE Sensex fell over 300 points, in to trade below 84,300, while the NSE Nifty 50 slipped below 25,750. On the 30-stock Sensex, losses were led by Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Tata Motors PV, Mahindra & Mahindra, NTPC and Bharat Electronics, with shares of these companies down between 0.5% and 2% in early trade.
