The BSE and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will suspend trading across equities, derivatives, currency markets, securities lending and borrowing (SLB), and electronic gold receipts (EGR) for the holiday on March 31. With markets already closed on Saturday (March 29) and Sunday (March 30), investors are advised to plan their trades accordingly. Indian stock exchanges follow a five-day workweek, operating from Monday to Friday with trading hours from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. IST. Markets remain shut on weekends and designated public holidays as per the exchanges’ official calendar.
