Vedanta declares Rs 7 per share interim dividend

Vedanta Ltd on Wednesday declared a first interim dividend of Rs 7 per equity share for the financial year 2025–26, amounting to approximately Rs 2,737 crore. The announcement was made following a meeting of the company’s board of directors earlier on Wednesday, the company said in an exchange filing. The record date for determining shareholders’ eligibility for the dividend has been fixed as Tuesday, June 24, 2025. The dividend will be paid within the legally prescribed timelines. This dividend announcement comes on the heels of Vedanta’s Rs 3,028 crore stake sale in its subsidiary Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL), as part of a broader plan to deleverage the balance sheet and prepare for its impending demerger into sector-specific verticals.
