ET Intelligence Group: Revenues from the sale of digital or streaming rights of films are likely to show higher growth and fetch more revenue to film producers than from theatres in the next four years, according to a recent Media Partners Asia report. Revenues from selling streaming rights of films are likely to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 8.2% to $1.1 billion (about Rs 9,130 crore) by 2028 from $0.8 billion (about Rs 6,640 crore) in 2024, the report estimated.
