[hfe_template id='11223'] [ad_1] India's largest institutional investor, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), ended 2025 on a rather sour note, with 64% or 184 of its portfolio stocks underlined in red. The inference is drawn from an analysis of 288 stocks in which LIC is invested. Moreover, its own performance was lacklustre during the year as the counter slipped nearly 6%. Out of the 184 stocks that fell this year, 136 plunged in double digits, between 10% and 90%. The steepest fall came in the smallcap stock VL E-Governance & IT Solutions, which declined over 90%. The next biggest laggards were Flexituff Ventures International and Vakrangee, which fell 80% and 77%, respectively. Others that fell more than 50% include Longview Tea Company, Quadrant Televentures, DCM Shriram Industries, Jai Corp, Industrial Investment Trust, Easy Trip Planners, Siemens, Triveni Glass and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles.
